Stephen Curry becomes NBA's undisputed three-point king after breaking Ray Allen's record
Stephen Curry is officially the greatest three-point shooter in NBA history, after passing the previous record set by Ray Allen.
Curry passed Allen's career mark of 2973 triples in the first quarter of the Golden State Warriors' meeting with the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
The Warriors star came into the game needing two triples to pass Allen and wasted little time, with his first shot coming from downtown in the opening minutes.

Curry then broke the record with his second triple of the game at the 7:33 mark of the first quarter, sparking wild celebrations.

"The way he changed the game is like how Babe Ruth changed baseball with the long ball," said Reggie Miller on commentary for TNT.
"This is an absolute awesome experience to be able to witness."

Curry broke the record in his 789th career game, 511 games faster than Allen, who broke the old record of 2562 threes set by Miller while playing for the Boston Celtics in 2011.
After breaking Allen's record, Curry shared a heartfelt embrace with the former Celtics and Heat title winner, who was seated courtside in New York.
