NBA star Stephen Curry makes incredible donation towards golfer's wife in cancer battle

NBA superstar Stephen Curry has made an incredibly touching gesture by donating a whopping $25,000 ($A34,000) to a golfer’s wife who was battling cancer.

Curry, who was competing at the Ellie Mae Classic golf tournament, announced that he would make a donation towards golfer Scott Harrington’s wife.

Harrington was unable to take part in the tournament due to caring for his wife Jenn, who is battling Hodgkin lymphoma after being diagnosed in August 2017.

Harrington was declared cancer-free last December, but doctors discovered that the cancer had returned earlier this year.

Curry, who finished last in the tournament, announced after his second round that he would donate to the couple’s GoFundMe page.

Ellie Mae also announced that they would make a $15,000 ($A21,000) donation towards Harrington’s cause.

Jenn Harrington was particularly moved by the two-time MVP’s gesture and said she and her husband hoped to pay back the generosity.

Scott and Jenn Harrington initially set a fundraising goal of $150,000 ($A206,000) and have already raised over $100,000 ($A137,000).
