Basketballer sinks incredible buzzer-beater

A young Melbourne basketballer has set the internet alight, sinking a miraculous buzzer beater from a near-impossible angle.

The video from a game over the weekend in Victoria's Big V youth league has exploded across social media with most viewers finding it hard to believe.

Trailing 54-55 with only seconds to run on the clock the Pakenham Warriors in-bounded the ball.

But the pass wasn't great and forced James Magrath to leap out over the baseline and in mid-air fire a hopeful shot from behind the backboard.

Possibly through some sort of black magic or divine intervention, the ball has sailed through the hoop as the final siren went.

The shot saw the Warriors knock off the previously undefeated Mornington Breakers.
