Bragging Shaq falls short on golf course

Shaquille O’Neal’s claims that his golf game is better than that of fellow NBA pundit Charles Barkley, who is famous for his horrendous swing, are looking increasingly weak after the giant former NBA star’s whiff at a pro-am in the US.

Footage from the opening tee at the Greenbrier Classic shows the 216cm TV funny man barely knock the ball off the tee before going on an exaggerated warm up - much to the delight of the crowd.

The embarrassing blooper undermines O’Neal’s claim that his “awful” game is still better than that of Barkley, his Inside the NBA colleague.

“I took him (Barkley) for $100,000 once,” O’Neal revealed at the tournament.

As bad as O’Neal’s effort, it’s not hard to believe that he’d beat Barkley, whose incredibly uncoordinated swing is an old viral favourite.
