A basketballer pulled off the seemingly impossible - a double dunk - during a recent US college match.

Wisconsin Badgers giant Sam Dekker was playing in a NCAA match against the Oregon Ducks when he went to the hoop and blasted a one-handed dunk.

Taking full advantage of his 2m frame, the 20-year-old hurled the ball through the hoop with such power it became caught in the net and spun full circle to go in a second time.

The miraculous piece of physics deserved more than the two points it earned Dekker, but only registered as a single basket.

Not that it mattered.

Dekker's Badgers went on to win the match 72-65 and qualify for the last 16 of the NCCA.
