Basketballer defies gravity, hurdles opponent

An American basketballer has offered one of the most unique defensive plays in the game's history by hurdling a rival to force a turnover.

Dez Wells was playing for Marylands when he gave Rutgers' Myles Mack the fright of his life.Wells had charged out of the ring to prevent a possible three-pointer from Mack and was travelling at such a speed that when he jumped to make the block he sailed straight over his rival's head.While Wells' move clearly wasn't planned, it proved effective as a stunned Mack travelled and coughed the ball up to Marylands.Standing at 177cm, Mack might not be the biggest professional basketball going around, but even he wouldn't step onto court expecting to leap-frogged.Be sure to check-out Wells' extraordinary leap by clicking in the video, above.
