Australia get 4 more shooting quota spots

Australia has secured all four quota spots on offer for next year's Rio Olympics at shooting's Oceania Continental Championship.

Atlanta Games bronze medallist Adam Vella headlined the day's events by claiming the Trap Men's title.

The 50m Rifle Prone quota was won by Fred Woodhouse after an impressive bronze medal performance, with the title going to Dane Sampson who'd already won a quota spot.

Chris Summerell collected the quota in the Men's 10m Air Pistol, having been the only Australian athlete to have shot a minimum qualifying score.

The final quota of the day was awarded to Commonwealth Games multi-medallist Lalita Yauhleuskaya in the 10m Women's Air Pistol.

At the mid-way mark, Australia has so far qualified seven spots, with an additional eight quotas on offer at the 2015 Oceania Continental Championship.
