Megan Anderson will fight on the same card as fellow Australian and world champion Robert Whittaker, when she makes her UFC debut against former women's bantamweight title holder Holly Holm.

Anderson, who hails from the Gold Coast, but is now based in the United States, was scheduled to make her debut against Cris Cyborg last July in a featherweight world title fight, but withdrew for personal reasons.

However, she has now landed on UFC 225 in Chicago in June, when Whittaker will make his first middleweight world title defence against Cuban Yoel Romero, the man he won the interim title against last year.

Holm's career has gone into a tailspin since she sensationally toppled bantamweight world champion and American compatriot Ronda Rousey in Melbourne In November 2015.

She lost the title in her first defence, one of four defeats in her past five fights.

However, she did go the full five-round distance in her most recent fight last December against Brazil's featherweight world champion Cyborg, and is still the No.1 contender in that division.

Anderson has an 8-2 MMA record.
