Young gun Brandan Parfitt inks new deal with Geelong
Cats young gun Brandan Parfitt has inked a two-year contract extension with the club.
Parfitt, 22, was a key part of Geelong's run to the grand final in season 2020 with the midfielder finishing second for most tackles in the competition with 107 on the year.
It's understood the young star was targetted by the GWS Giants who were looking for a player in return during the Jeremy Cameron trade before settling on draft picks.
Parfitt's new deal will keep him at the club until the end of the 2022 season.

"Brandan is an integral part of our future, so we're pleased to have secured him until the end of 2022," General Manager of Football Simon Lloyd said.
"Since arriving at the club, he has developed into one of the club's most versatile players and we are excited to see where he can take his game in the next two seasons.
"Brandan displays the values we aspire to live by and is part of a nucleus of young players that represent an exciting future for the Geelong Football Club."
It's expected the club's attention will now turn to Tom Hawkins and Zach Tuohy with new deals set to be announced for the pair.
