West Coast hit with crippling injury toll two weeks out from AFL season start
West Coast Eagles have been dealt a blow a fortnight out from the start of the AFL season, with the club's top draft pick facing months on the sideline, and a number of other stars injured.
Campbell Chesser suffered a foot injury in Friday's mauling at the hands of Fremantle, with The Age reporting the No.14 draft pick will be out of action until at least round eight, and possibly longer.
Dom Sheed is likely to be sidelined for a similar time, after he suffered a lower leg injury in the ruinous loss.

The prognosis on Elliot Yeo's leg injury is still unclear, but he's also expected to be out of the game for a lengthy period, although the club is hoping it won't be as long as Chesser and Sheed.
With just over two weeks until the club opens its 2022 season against Gold Coast, the Eagles are facing a crippling injury crisis.

In addition to Chesser, Sheed and Yeo, Oscar Allen, Jamie Cripps, Liam Duggan and Tom Cole are also on the injured list, while Jack Darling's refusal to be vaccinated has thrown another spanner in the works.
