Assuming Gold Coast beats one of Port Adelaide or Essendon, Sunday afternoon's clash between the Dogs and Dockers is a straight-up winner plays finals, loser's season is over affair.
Freo won the clash between these two teams earlier this season at Optus Stadium. The home team has won each of the last four meetings between them.

Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir was prickly when asked about the match and last week's loss to Brisbane, which put them in this do-or-die scenario.
"It's a big game. Everyone will build it up. What we've got to do is lean into what we've done across the back end of the season. Everyone wants to catastrophise after one performance," Longmuir told reporters.
"As a club, we lean into our last 12 to 13 weeks which have been strong. There's a good blueprint there for us to succeed this weekend.
"Everyone wants to talk about failures and next week and whatnot and we're focused on getting our 16th win.
"You break the (Brisbane) game down, we didn't play well. We gave up a lot of marks, but we also created a lot of opportunities and we kept missing which put pressure on us and we didn't quite handle it.
"Everyone wants to be doom and gloom. Eight minutes into the last quarter we'd had more inside 50s and equal scoring shots. We break it down a little more than just the scoreboard.
"It's not as doom and gloom as everyone is saying ... if you don't laugh you'll cry sometimes. We felt the pressure and having to chase the game ... it's almost like 'how do you not kick a goal there, how do you stuff that up?'."
Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge will front the media on Friday ahead of the must-win game.
