Tim Kelly handling spotlight 'like a pro'

Tim Kelly has dealt with the constant speculation surrounding his future like "a true pro" and there's no concerns his form could wane under the spotlight, according to Geelong coach Chris Scott.

Kelly is among the favourites to win the Brownlow Medal this year, but speculation over his AFL future is set to heat up as the season winds down.

The 25-year-old gave his biggest hint yet about his intentions on Wednesday, saying he couldn't see himself anywhere else but Geelong next season.

However, whether the financial deal that Geelong is prepared to offer Kelly is enough to satisfy him remains to be seen.

Kelly has already been tabled an offer, but he will weigh up family and football interests at the end of the season before making a final decision.

If he decides against staying at the Cats, then he will join either Fremantle or West Coast so that his young family can move back home to Perth.

Geelong currently sit a game clear on top of the ladder, and are well placed to win this year's flag.

Scott isn't concerned that the speculation over Kelly's future could hinder the Brownlow Medal fancy.

"He's handled himself like a true pro off the field all year, and I can't see any reason why that wouldn't continue," Scott said.

"If we had have seen any issues with the way he was playing, we might have needed to address them. But that just hasn't happened.

"It's obviously in the back of his mind what's going to happen, but it's a conversation that will ramp up when our season is over.

"There's no question he's one of the premier midfielders of the competition."

Geelong will be aiming to keep the chasing pack at bay when they take on Fremantle at Optus Stadium on Saturday.

Scott said Gary Rohan and Zach Tuohy were likely to return against the Dockers after being rested for last week's 27-point win over Sydney.

Sam Menegola (knee) will return to senior action either this week or next, while speedster Nakia Cockatoo will line up in the VFL this weekend.

The Dockers will be without defender Luke Ryan (hamstring) for the next three weeks.
