Scott Lycett reveals horrible online abuse after being sent to AFL Tribunal for dangerous tackle
Port Adelaide ruckman Scott Lycett has revealed the "outrageous" torrent of abuse he has received after his dangerous tackle on Adelaide's Ned McHenry.
Lycett's dangerous sling tackle left McHenry dazed in the opening quarter of Port's Showdown win, with the ruckman referred directly to the AFL Tribunal for the act.
The 28-year-old took to his personal Instagram account to denounce the abuse, with screenshots revealing a series of disgusting abusive messages sent to him in the wake of his tackle on McHenry.
One message told Lycett to "literally kill yourself you low life" and "jump off the nearest bridge", while others called him an "ugly West Coast reject".

"Footy is a physical game, but I acknowledge my tackle on Ned McHenry last night overstepped the mark and will be dealt with at the AFL Tribunal," he wrote. "I truly hope he's OK."
"However the abuse that has followed has been outrageous. People should take a breath and reflect before posting."
According to a Seven News report, South Australian Police are investigating the posts, while the Adelaide Crows also condemned any abuse directed towards players.
"The club does not condone offensive or threatening behaviour of any kind including on social media and we will investigate whether abuse directed towards a Port Adelaide player involves one of our members, and if so will take appropriate action to reiterate that this behaviour is not tolerated," a club statement read.
