Round one hoodoo no concern for big Roo

North Melbourne star Todd Goldstein doesn't believe in hoodoos and says the Kangaroos' run of six round-one losses will count for nothing when they take on Adelaide at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.

The Roos haven't tasted success in their season-opening match since 2009 but Goldstein says that poor record hasn't been mentioned around the club as they prepare to take on the Crows, who handed them a 77-point thrashing in the corresponding fixture last season.

North's chances of breaking that drought look set to be boosted with Shaun Higgins (knee) and Robbie Tarrant (back) expected to be available.
