The four clubs involved in this week's semi-finals won't face any disciplinary distractions after the AFL's match review panel didn't lay any charges on Monday.

It was the first time this year that the MRP returned a clean sheet after reviewing a round of matches.

The news will come as a relief to West Coast ahead of their semi-final against Greater Western Sydney on Saturday night.

Veteran forward Drew Petrie impressed in his side's stunning elimination final win over Port Adelaide, but was involved in a heavy collision with Hamish Hartlett in the first period of extra-time.

Petrie collected Hartlett in the face as he went for a mark, leaving the Power defender dazed with blurred vision.

But he was not concussed and was able to come back on and play out the game.

The MRP also found fellow Eagle Sam Mitchell did nothing wrong when he spat near a Port opponent.

Richmond's Nick Vlastuin doubled over in pain after Geelong forward Steven Motlop made contact with his groin region during the Tigers' 51-point qualifying final win on Friday night.

But that action was also cleared.

Geelong face Sydney in the other semi-final at the MCG on Friday night.
