‘All in’: Carlton coach confirms stance after shock turnaround

Carlton interim coach Josh Fraser has officially entered the race to take over the full-time position for next season.
Fraser has done a tremendous job since taking the reins from Michael Voss mid-way through the year, taking the Blues towards an unlikely finals berth.

He told media on Friday morning that he had now officially entered the process for the Carlton head coaching role.
“A fortnight ago the club came to me and asked me to be a part of this coaching process. This week I was in a position to go back to the club and accept that offer to go through the process,” Fraser said.
“I presented to the coaching panel this week and now I can focus my attention on this weekend’s game [against the Western Bulldogs].
“I’ve said all along if I committed to that process, I was all in. Now it’s in the hands of the selection panel and we’ll see what comes of that.”
Since becoming coach, Fraser has led Carlton to 10 wins and two losses.
The club’s long-suffering fans are clearly in Fraser’s corner, chanting his name after the round 22 victory over St Kilda.
Jaymie Graham, Corey Enright, James Kelly and Daniel Giansiracusa are the other four names in the mix to lead the Blues in 2027.
Carlton will look to cement a finals wildcard spot on Sunday against the Bulldogs.
