West Coast defender Brady Hough has been slapped with a $1500 fine by the MRO, for a bump on St Kilda ruckman Rowan Marshall.

Marshall was knocked to the ground while having a shot for goal late in the third quarter, spraying the kick out on the full.

He remained down after the contact, holding a sore shoulder, before Hough barged through and bumped him back over.

Marshall certainly wasn't happy with the additional contact, exchanging words with Hough, while teammate Mattaes Phillipou came in to remonstrate.

Phillipou appeared to injure his hand in the process.

The MRO stated the 22-year-old committed "unreasonable or unnecessary contact with an injured player".

Luckily for the veteran midfielder, he has been cleared by doctors to fly home from Western Australia on Tuesday and avoids needing to be driven across the Nullarbor.

St Kilda host Gold Coast on Sunday afternoon, while West Coast face a tough challenge against Adelaide.
