'Bad as I have seen': Jonathan Brown slams dangerous SCG turf issues as players struggle with footing
The turf at the SCG has been slammed as dangerous and not fit for purpose during Friday night's clash between the Swans and the Bulldogs.
The issue surrounds the Paddington End of the ground, where the ripped-up and choppy grass has had players slipping all night.
The rest of the ground, however, is fine.

Brisbane great Jonathan Brown was scathing in his criticism of the turf during the second quarter of the game.

"Should we be allowed to play on this surface?" Brown asked on Fox Footy."
"This is as bad as I have seen in years. I remember playing on the early (Marvel Stadium) surface, and that was a sandpit, but this is shocking.
"It's disgraceful management to let the ground get to this. It's a shame, it's a great spectacle."
The issues with the turf weren't missed on social media either, with Nine's chief AFL reporter Tom Morris labelling it "death valley"
That term is a throwback to how Melbourne's Marvel Stadium was labelled in its early days when the turf was marred with issues.
Former Adelaide star Josh Jenkins labelled the turf a "genuine disgrace".
The ground is seemingly yet to recover from a concert held in early April. The turf has deteriorated week on week since.
