Western Bulldogs endorse Jamarra Ugle-Hagan's absence from club training to manage 'personal issues'

Western Bulldogs former No.1 draft pick Jamarra Ugle-Hagan has been missing from club training for much of the pre season.
The club confirmed he is "undertaking flexible training arrangements" in a statement on Tuesday afternoon, confirming that he is dealing with "personal issues".
The 22-year-old has been training away from Whitten Oval, missing Monday and last Friday's boxing session, but hasn't actually shown face this year.

The Bulldogs have thrown their full support behind the youngster.
"With the endorsement of the football program, Jamarra has alternated his training between Whitten Oval and away from the club," the Bulldogs said.

"The club continues to provide its full support to Jamarra and remains in constant contact with him, his family and his management."
He has not been sighted at the club since December.
Ugle-Hagan took personal leave last season, missing two matches to head home to south-west Victoria.
The club has asked for privacy as the young goalkicker manages the next steps.

"With Jamarra's health and wellbeing of paramount importance, the club requests that his privacy be respected during this period," the Dogs statement said.
He has played 63 games and kicked 103 goals since his debut in 2021.
Ugle-Hagan took home the club's leading goalkicker award in 2024, after a career-best 43.
The youngster signed a two-year contracted extension last May, keeping him at Whitten Oval until the end of 2026.
