Latest AFL video game reveals 25 highest-rated players ahead of launch
The AFL is once again trying its hand at a video game, with AFL26 set to hit shelves in early May.
Carlton captain Patrick Cripps, along with Adelaide AFLW star Ebony Marinoff, have been revealed as the cover athletes for the game, with Cripps also taking the mantle as the top rated player in the game.
The top 25 highest rated players have been revealed for the game, with the developers seemingly not willing to rate anyone higher than a 94/100.

Cripps has received that 94 overall, with Collingwood star Nick Daicos and Western Bulldogs captain Marcus Bontempelli listed at 93.
The Blues skipper is a two-time Brownlow Medallist, winning the top award in 2022 and 2024, a four-time All-Australian and a five-time Carlton best and fairest.

90: Jordan Dawson, Tom Stewart, Zach Merrett, Harry Sheezel, Tom Green, Max Holmes, Harris Andrews, Andrew Brayshaw and Noah Anderson

Each player's overall rating is broken up into subcategories, including speed, marking, tackling, set shots, physicality, hit-outs and more.
The top players in each of these subcategories has also been revealed, with Gawn rated number one for hit-outs, Hogan for physicality, Josh Treacy for set shots, Cripps for tackling, Jeremy Cameron for marking and Sam Switkowski for speed.
No information has been revealed yet on the AFLW side regarding player ratings.
