'No one likes to watch': Young Collingwood superstar Nick Daicos admits to flag envy
Collingwood star Nick Daicos is preparing to likely take home his second club best and fairest in as many years on Friday night.
But it's another piece of silverware that he's longing to get his hands on again, after the Pies missed the finals in 2024.
Speaking ahead of the official Melbourne Cup Carnival launch, Daicos admitted he's ready to taste premiership success again, a year on from the Pies mighty grand final win over Brisbane.

"It's awesome to be here (at the Cup launch), but there's other silverware that you probably want to be holding this time of year," he told 9News Melbourne on Tuesday night.
Daicos declared over the grand final weekend that it was difficult to watch on and not have another crack at a second premiership medal.

It was a game he starred in 12 months ago, collecting 29 disposals and his first premiership medal at just 20 years of age.
"We're all competitive. No one likes to watch on," Daicos said.
"We're definitely motivated to get there again next year."
But before aspirations can turn to the 2025 season, Daicos is red hot favourite to take home a maiden Copeland trophy as one of the Pies best in 2024.

"I'll have to wait and see," he said.
He'll also head overseas next month to complete training sessions in the USA, before official pre season begins.
"Off to the States in November. See some sport over there and do a little bit of training," Daicos said.
The 21-year-old collected a record-breaking 38 Brownlow Medal votes this year, but actually didn't win the award, coming runner up to Carlton's Patrick Cripps, who had a whopping 45 votes.
