Hawthorn's injury woes deepes with midfielder's sideline time extended by five weeks
Hawthorn's injury worries have continued to worsen, with young midfielder Will Day ruled out for up to five more weeks.
Day has been sidelined since January with a stress fracture in his foot.
He has been unable to play alongside a plethora of other young stars, including new recruit Will McCabe (bone stress in back), Changkuoth Jiath with a hamstring injury, James Blanck (ACL) and Denver Grainger-Barras with toe problems.

However, the club has provided a positive update on Day's return to running.
"He had a bone scan that absolutely gave us confirmation that the healing is excellent," high performance boss Peter Burge said on Tuesday.

"We can now progress Will to running outside at full body weight on grass, then into conditioning before resuming to football training with an aim for match play at round seven."
Day will still likely miss games against Melbourne, Geelong, Collingwood, Gold Coast and North Melbourne.
In some good news for the Hawks, skipper James Sicily's one match ban for kicking Essendon's Andrew McGrath has been downgraded to a fine on $2500.

The Hawks leader's action was graded as intentional conduct, medium impact and body contact, with one week on the sidelines offered as a punishment originally, before a successful Tribunal hearing on Tuesday night.
It means the defender will be available to take on Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday.
Hawthorn began their season with a 24-point loss to the Bombers in round one.
