A potential AFL Gather Round fixture for 2025 has been floated, with games to be played from Thursday, April 10 to Sunday, April 13.

It comes as one fiery clash looks all but certain to close out the round.

The games will be held across three venues in an expansion of the South Australian event, with Adelaide Oval, Lyndoch Oval in the Barossa Valley and Norwood Oval to all play host, according to Nine's Tom Morris.

The Crows would kick off proceedings, playing host to Geelong at Adelaide Oval on Thursday, April 10.

On Friday night, Collingwood and Sydney would do battle, also at Adelaide Oval.

Saturday's fixture sees the Gather Round expansion come to life, with North Melbourne and the Suns playing off in the Barossa Valley at Lyndoch Oval.

Play would likely head back to Adelaide Oval later that afternoon to see Carlton and West Coast face off, followed by the Lions and Bulldogs immediately after.

The triple-header at Adelaide Oval would conclude on Saturday night with Essendon and Melbourne.

Sunday would see Richmond and Fremantle meet in the Barossa, before a move to Norwood Oval to watch St Kilda and GWS later that afternoon.

The final match of the round would have Port Adelaide and Hawthorn battle at Adelaide Oval on the Sunday evening, in what is set to be a massive clash.

It would likely be the first time the Power and the Hawks meet after their intense semi-final clash, which saw Port coach Ken Hinkley rile up young Hawk Jack Ginnivan post-match.

The exact times of each match will be confirmed by the league in the next 48 hours, according to Morris.

This will be the third time the Gather Round event has been held, with South Australia locking in the initiative until 2026.
