'Really painful': Collingwood big man Mason Cox out indefinitely with internal bleeding
Collingwood big man Mason Cox has been sidelined indefinitely after an innocuous bump last weekend resulted in internal bleeding in his rib area.
Cox revealed that he'd spent Wednesday in hospital after being diagnosed with a haematoma stemming from a bump from an opponent in the Magpies' 71-point win over Port Adelaide on Saturday.
"It's really painful," Cox told KIIS 101.1's Jase & Lauren.

"I was dumb enough to go and train yesterday because I didn't realise it. I came off the track and was like, I feel like there's still something a little bit off.
"We went and looked at the scans again and he's like, 'Oh yeah, you've got something proper wrong with you'. It can lead to something really bad. Luckily enough I didn't get hit in the ribs yesterday at training.

"I actually just got bumped in the game coming onto the ground and he just got me in a real good spot. I knew something was wrong.
"I didn't think I had a cracked rib. If you have a cracked rib you can feel the clicking, I didn't feel that, but there was a lot of abdominal pain which was kind of weird."
Cox said a timeline on his return was yet to be determined until more scans are taken and blood is drawn, but he is aiming to return by ANZAC Day.
"Definitely out for this week. I get more bloods drawn today and see where we are at. I guess it is to be determined how long," he said.
"My parents are coming to town [for the ANZAC day match], so I'm hoping I can make that one. That's the one that I definitely want to be there for but it is up to the doctors."
