Lions skipper wary of travelling Dockers

Brisbane captain Dayne Zorko is wary Fremantle's entry into the AFL's quarantine hub will make them a galvanised opponent in Saturday's round two fixture at the Gabba.

The Dockers arrived on the Gold Coast on Tuesday ahead of their minimum four-week stay in the Queensland hub.

While Fremantle have had little time to adjust to their new surroundings, Zorko doesn't believe it makes them any less of a dangerous opponent this weekend.

"I can only draw on our experiences when we travel and I feel like it really galvanises us as a group," Zorko said.

"You can set little goals along the way, and I'm sure they would have done the same.

"There's no better feeling than when you can achieve them.

"They're going to rock up here on Saturday absolutely raring to go as a really, really tight-knit group."

The Lions made the Gabba a fortress in their impressive 2019 campaign but ended the year with back-to-back home final losses to Richmond and then GWS.

The Queensland government put a halt to suggestion a small number of supporters might be allowed into the Gabba to watch Saturday's match, but Zorko said his team was ready to go regardless of whether there's a crowd or not.

"We were expecting for the first month to be no fans and, really, for the whole year," he said.

"If fans are able to come back, fantastic, but we certainly weren't planning on it so nothing really changes for us."
