Swans skipper takes mark for the ages

Powered by

Sydney Swans captain Kieren Jack pulled off one of the great grand final marks in the opening stages of the 2016 AFL grand final.

In a frenetic opening couple of minutes, both the sides flung them at the contest and as the ball sailed into the Sydney forward 50, the Swans skipper sprinted back with the flight to mark the ball.

Jack, with no regard for his own safety, didn’t have time to check to see if any Bulldogs players were coming the other and was smashed by the oncoming pack as he took the courageous grab.

The Sydney leader initially lay on the ground in pain but eventually got back on his feet to open the scoring with a behind.
