Hodge suffers suspected broken arm

Hawthorn captain Luke Hodge is set to miss several weeks after suffering a suspected broken arm in the opening round AFL loss to Geelong.
Hodge left the ground in obvious discomfort during the final quarter after being hit by Geelong’s Mitch Duncan at a marking contest.
The two-time Norm Smith Medallist had his right forearm iced as he finished the game on the bench.
Duncan was placed on report for the incident though he did not appear to make any contact with Hodge’s head.
Hawks coach Alistair Clarkson said Hawthorn was waiting on scans results but conceded “it doesn’t look good”.
Hodges' injury is a blow to Hawthorn's hopes of an historic four-peat with the Hawks skipper expected to join Jarryd Roughead on the sidelines for several weeks.
The reigning premiers went down by five goals to a Cats side inspired by new recruit Patrick Dangerfield.
