Fremantle tables fresh Adam Cerra offer amid $3 million Carlton link
Fremantle is confident that it will be able to ward off Victorian rivals who are interested in young star Adam Cerra by reaching an agreement on a new deal.
Cerra is one of Fremantle's brightest young prospects and has started the 2021 season in career-best form, averaging 23.5 disposals through his first four games this year.

The 21-year-old midfielder hails from Victoria and has constantly been linked with a move back home due to being out of contract at the end of the season, with Carlton emerging as the latest club linked to him.
After a report suggested that the Blues would throw a $3 million offer at the young gun, Fremantle CEO Simon Garlick moved to ease Dockers fans' fears, revealing that the club had tabled its own offer to Cerra's management.

"He's clearly a highly valued member of our team," he told SEN WA.
"He's an outstanding young man and he's incredibly invested in the program and club in 2021 for what we hope is the foreseeable future.
"With that in mind, we're in really positive discussions with Adam (Cerra) and his management and we look forward to progressing those positively in the weeks and months.
"We've put something to Adam that we're talking to him and his management about at the moment.

"Those are positive discussions and we look forward to working with Adam and his management in the coming weeks."
Garlick's comments came after Cerra addressed the speculation surrounding his contract with Fremantle.
"At the moment nothing has changed. I'm focusing week-to-week," he told Nine News Perth.
"Obviously that's something that I have to deal with by the end of the year and when the time comes I'm eager to sit down and sort that out."
