AFL grand final match-up confirmed with Sydney Swans to meet Geelong Cats
The Geelong Cats and the Sydney Swans will do battle on the last Saturday in September following their respective preliminary final wins.
In an extraordinary end to this year's finals series - that saw the Cats and the Swans progress through to the grand final at the expense of the Lions and the Magpies - the AFL is delighted to welcome back 100,000 fans to the 'G after two years of the premiership decider being played outside Victoria.
The Cats will make their second grand final appearance in three years, while the Swans will contest their sixth endgame since 2005.

With a seven-day break heading into the biggest match of the season, Geelong youngster Max Holmes (hamstring) and Sydney 2012 premiership player Sam Reid (abductor) are racing the clock to prove their fitness.
The grand final will be broadcast live nationally on Seven.
