Emotional Rance says sorry for Watts hit

Richmond defender Alex Rance has apologised for the cowardly hit on Jack Watts that has landed him a two-week AFL suspension and, in his own words, placed him at the lowest point in his career.
Rance elbowed the Melbourne forward in Sunday night's loss to the Demons but said the action was out of character, pleading with the AFL public not to let it define him.
"It's certainly something I don't want to be remembered for. It was a really stupid emotional act," he said.
