Dockers have AFL ban halved, Hawkins fined
Fremantle defender Taylin Duman will only miss one AFL match after the tribunal halved his striking ban.
A fortnight after Richmond successfully argued for Dustin Martin's suspension to be reduced from two games to one, the Dockers had the same result.
It means Duman will miss Saturday's home match against the Western Bulldogs.
The Dockers successfully argued that the grading of the charge should be low impact, not medium.
Duman was booked for his open-handed shove on GWS star Lachie Whitfield, who gave evidence in Tuesday's hearing.
Whitfield said immediately after the incident he joked with Duman that he hoped the young Docker had enough money to pay his striking fine.
Also on Tuesday, star Geelong forward Tom Hawkins was offered a $2000 fine for elbowing Hawthorn's James Sicily in the back during the Easter Monday game.
The incident was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact.
Giants midfielder Jacob Hopper, Melbourne's Jordan Lewis and Western Bulldogs skipper Easton Wood accepted fines from the weekend's games.
Brisbane captain Dayne Zorko received a $2000 fine for rough conduct on Collingwood's Taylor Adams in their Gabba clash.
Gold Coast's Jarrod Harbrow was reported for rough conduct against Adelaide's Lachlan Murphy, but match reviewer Michael Christian ruled the Suns veteran had no case to answer.
