Demon Vince offered AFL ban by MRP

Melbourne midfielder Bernie Vince has been slapped with a one-match AFL ban for striking North Melbourne's Jamie Macmillan.

Vince was the only player to be handed a suspension on Monday after the AFL match review panel's assessment of round three action.

The former Crow caught Macmillan high with his left elbow in Sunday's thrilling clash in Hobart, won by the Kangaroos by five points.

The MRP assessed the incident as intentional conduct with low impact to the head.

Vince will miss Sunday's clash with Collingwood if he accepts the sanction but risks a two-match ban if he takes his case to the tribunal.

Richmond defender Troy Chaplin and Hawthorn's Grant Birchall were each offered $1000 fines for rough conduct on Adelaide's Wayne Milera and the Western Bulldogs' Jordan Roughead respectively.

Collingwood midfielder Levi Greenwood was cleared of any wrongdoing in the incident that knocked St Kilda skipper Nick Riewoldt out of Saturday's encounter at the MCG.

Greenwood was attempting to tackle Riewoldt from front on with the panel finding that the high contact made was caused by circumstances outside his control.

Brisbane midfielder Mitch Robinson had his match day report for rough conduct on Geelong's Joel Selwood thrown out.
