Crows chairman says Jenkins deal done soon

Adelaide chairman Rob Chapman has added his voice to a chorus of Crows confident that in-demand forward Josh Jenkins will soon re-sign with the AFL club.

Jenkins, enjoying a breakout season with 37 goals, falls off-contract at the end of the season and rival clubs are understood to have pitched to lure him from Adelaide.

But a day after Crows coach Don Pyke said he expected Jenkins to ink a contract extension in the "near term", Chapman was similarly bullish about re-signing the 27-year-old.

"I concur with what Don said yesterday and we are going to try and wrap that up as soon as we possibly can," Chapman told reporters on Wednesday.

Jenkins has said he wants to remain in Adelaide, though that hasn't stopped rival clubs like Brisbane reportedly offering him a lucrative long-term deal.
