Channel Seven's AFL commentator Brian Taylor is under fire once again over a gaffe in which he confused Sydney Swans defender Aliir Aliir with North Melbourne's Majak Daw.

The incident comes after Taylor was heavily criticised for his pronunciation of Essendon forward Orazio Fantasia's surname.

Taylor made the unmissable gaffe in the opening quarter of the Swans' clash against Collingwood at the SCG, leaving AFL fans on social media fuming.

The veteran commentator's error came as an attempted Collingwood attacking foray was foiled by Aliir before the umpire awarded a free kick to the Magpies.

Taylor has received notoriety for his unique pronunciations of certain words during his AFL commentary career AAP

"Here’s Wells, Majak Daw too much body,” Taylor said.

The former Collingwood and Richmond great immediately noticed his error and corrected himself.

“Sorry, Aliir Aliir, sorry,” he said.

The error was made more embarrassing by the fact that Daw has not appeared in a single game for the Kangaroos as he recovers from a serious hip injury.

Despite Taylor's abrupt apology, AFL fans on social media were unforgiving.
