Billionaire Collingwood vice-president Alex Waislitz quits effective immediately
Billionaire Collingwood vice-president Alex Waislitz has announced his resignation from the club board, effective immediately.
The Australian businessman was elected to Collingwood's board of directors in 1998, and was elected as vice=president in 2009.
Waislitz becomes the second club director to leave the Pies in the last three months, with former president Eddie McGuire resigning in February. Waislitz worked alongside McGuire for the duration of the latter's 22-year term.
Waislitz will be replaced by Paul Licuria and Jodie Sizer who were appointed as vice-presidents on Tuesday night.

"It's been an honour to have served the club for more than two decades and I'm pleased to be leaving the board at time when we are in strong financial position," Waislitz said.
"Collingwood is now in a period of renewal and it's appropriate that I make way for that process to continue. I wish Mark and the team continued success and I am happy to assist in any way I can."
Licuria was a two-time best and fairest winner for the Pies during his 182-games with the club.
Sizer is the first Indigenous member of Collingwood's board and The co-CEO of PWC Indigenous Consulting.
