Carlton great Brendan Fevola has revealed the hilarious time he forgot where his team was playing.

Speaking on the AFL Footy Show, Fevola cut in when Melbourne star Angus Brayshaw was discussing his side's Round 2 clash against Geelong, prompting co-host Neroli Meadows to get the story out of him.

"I did go to the wrong ground one year," Fevola revealed.

"I went to the Telstra Dome (Marvel Stadium) we were playing Melbourne. Whenever we played Melbourne we were going to the Telstra Dome but it wasn't our home game, it was at the MCG so I was late.

"It was raining too so I was like 'oh it's great the roof's going to be on' as a forward you don't want it to rain. I kicked one, had a horror."

Fevola's hilarious story caused the crowd to break into laughter before Brayshaw was able to continue discussing the weekend's clash.

Brayshaw and the Demons head to GMHBA Stadium to take on the Cats looking to bounce back after a disappointing Round 1 defeat at the hands of Port Adelaide.

The 23-year-old was among the Demons' best, finishing with 26 disposals in last year's finals series when the Demons ended the Cats' season in the elimination finals.
