Unwanted Roos star Ben Brown meets with Melbourne amid search for new AFL club
Unwanted Kangaroos star Ben Brown has met with Melbourne amid the search for a new AFL club.
Brown, 28, was told to look elsewhere by North Melbourne ahead of the trade and free agency period.
The Age reported a virtual meeting with Demons officials. The club has also reportedly planned a medical assessment for the prolific forward, who ended this season with a knee injury.

Brown, who is not a free agent, has also been linked to Essendon and Fremantle. The Bombers are set to lose Joe Daniher to Brisbane during the trade period, while the Dockers have put Jesse Hogan on the trade block.
Brown kicked more than 60 goals in each season between 2017-19, and was also the Roos' leading goalkicker in 2016, yet was still deemed expendable. He played 130 games for North, booting 287 goals.
North Melbourne are also searching for a new head coach after Rhyce Shaw stood down for personal reasons.
