Carlton Blues announce AFLW player tests positive to coronavirus
The AFL has been rocked by a second positive COVID-19 case in the same day.
Hours after Hawthorn revealed young player Finn Maginness had tested positive, Carlton announced one of its AFLW players had returned a positive test.
"The fully vaccinated individual conducted a rapid antigen test on arrival outside the club on Tuesday afternoon, which subsequently returned a positive result," the Blues said in a statement.

"The individual then immediately undertook a PCR COVI test outside the club, before returning home to isolate as soon as the test was completed. The person did not enter IKON Park at any stage.
"The PCR test returned a positive result on Wednesday, with the individual now required to self-isolate for 14 days."

One of the player's Carlton teammates was identified as a close contact, but they returned a negative test. They will still isolate for seven days.
The news comes on the same day was revealed Carlton is dealing with an anti-vax AFL player.
The AFL has mandated all players and staff be fully vaccinated as soon as possible.
