AFL match review finds no grand drama

GWS key forward Jeremy Cameron has been cleared of high contact and teammate Toby Greene was not even mentioned in the AFL grand final match review.

It's about the only good news for the Giants out of Saturday's 89-point mauling from Richmond.

Cameron was under scrutiny for a third-quarter incident where he made high contact with Liam Baker and he gave away a free kick.

But Michael Christian found it did not warrant a charge.

There was immediate media attention on Greene after a first-quarter incident where his hand went near Baker's face as they scrambled for the ball.

But Cameron's high contact was the only clash that was noted on the match review summary.

It had been a tumultuous September for Greene, who was referred directly to the tribunal and fined after the elimination final win over the Western Bulldogs.

He starred in the semi-final win over Brisbane, but was suspended for making contact with Lachie Neale's eye region.

The Giants were furious with Greene's one-game ban and unsuccessfully went to the tribunal, followed by an appeal, but he missed the preliminary final win over Collingwood.

Greene was in tears after a sub-par game on Saturday against the Tigers.
