Recently-retired Hawthorn star Cyril Rioli is set to lace up the football boots again, suiting up for Fox Footy's Longest Kick competition on Grand Final day.

The four-time premiership winner will join 10 other competitors to compete from 10am at Birrarung Marr for the annual event.

Rioli will be joined by former Hawthorn teammate Jack Gunston as well as 2017 number one pick Cameron Rayner and Carlton youngster Jack Silvagni.

However, the hot favourite to take out the competition will be former Richmond big man Ben Griffiths.

Griffiths retired from the Tigers last season and is set to embark on a college career in the United States as a punter.

The action won't be restricted to just AFL players either, with AFLW stars Katie Brennan from the Western Bulldogs and Brisbane's Sabrina Frederick-Traub set to compete.

Fellow AFL stars involved in the competition will be Geelong's Mitch Duncan, Essendon's Zach Merrett and GWS captain Phil Davis.
