Former Adelaide skipper Mark Ricciuto has called for mass changes after the Crows' embarrassing Showdown 47 defeat to Port Adelaide.

With both teams heading into the match on equal premiership points, the Power outscored Adelaide nine goals to one in the second half en-route to its biggest win over the Crows in 18 years.

The result left Ricciuto, who is also the Crows' Football Director, fuming as he called for Don Pyke to wield the axe.

"You'd think he'd have to make an example," Ricciuto told Fox Footy.

Taylor Walker

Adelaide captain Taylor Walker endured another torrid afternoon as he received jeers from the fans AAP

"He's dropped Gibbs and Jenkins before but you'd have to think there's going to be a couple of players in Adelaide that are not going to play next week.

"This is embarrassing at the moment. The crows fans are walking out and so they should.

"Port have been sensational and they've done it a few times this year, but Adelaide have been really embarrassing in this last half and they need to make changes.

"You'd just like to see a bit more fight in the second half of contests. At the moment they don't look like making a comeback."
