Acres nominated for AFL Rising Star

St Kilda's Blake Acres has earned the AFL Rising Star nomination for round six.

Acres booted two goals and tallied a career-high 28 disposals in the Saints' 39-point win over Melbourne at Etihad Stadium.

"Blake's a really committed player and exemplifies the kind of team-first and aggressive attributes that the club values, so it's a deserving recognition of all of his hard work," St Kilda coach Alan Richardson said.

Acres was taken with pick No.19 in the 2013 draft.
