49ers lose it over Hayne's shoulder hit
As it turns out, Jarryd Hayne’s San Francisco 49ers teammates got just as excited as Aussie fans about his vicious shoulder bump against the Chargers.
Defensive tackle Mike Purcell was mic’d up for the 49ers’ final pre-season hit out against San Diego.
While a number of his team’s offensive plays got the 138kg defensive hulk excited on the sideline, he was most animated after Hayne ended a 14 yard run with a brutal shoulder in front of the 49ers bench.
When Hayne dropped Lowell Rose as he attempted to bump off the Chargers cornerback, Purcell let out several large roars of approval.
“Atta boy 3-8,” Purcell roared from the sideline. “The Hayne Plane right there.”The microphone attached to Purcell also caught guard Alex Boone saying, “I wonder if he (Hayne) drinks Foster's.”
