NBA player immortalized by comical fall

Houston Rockets guard Sam Dekker has comically ‘hit the deck’ when he got overzealous in an offensive break against the New York Knicks.

Leading the Knicks deep in the first quarter, the lofty Dekker managed to rob the offense and bear down on an open Knicks basket.

What should have been an easy two-point layup or smooth dunk ended in perhaps the most ungraceful two-seconds of the guard’s life.

Over excited or under pressure, Dekker tripped up on his own heel’s as he collapsed to the ground, but not before the ball could rush up to meet his head and smash him in the face before teasingly, bobbling off.

With Madison Square Garden in hysterics a timid Dekker made his way back on defence as vision of the clip quickly became immortalised on social media.
