9PR: Magsafe Wallets

9Product Reviews

Traditional wallet cases are quite the commitment. Let me explain. They're bulky, tend to block your wireless charging, and the moment you upgrade your phone, they become obsolete.

But the rise of MagSafe, since the iPhone 12 and Qi2 magnetic wireless charging, has changed the game with modular accessories.

You can now use a slim wallet attachment that snaps onto the back of your phone, either natively or via a magnetic case.

These accessories stay firmly in place when you're on the move, but flick off instantly when you want to charge wirelessly or strip back to a minimal feel.

That's why we're rounding up magnetic wallets that'll replace your usual wallet phone case.

Is my phone compatible with a magnetic wallet?

Before buying, it's important to double-check your phone's compatibility as this is split into a few different camps.

  • iPhone (12-17): You're all set as Apple pioneered their MagSafe technology to have magnets built into the chassis – allowing you to easily wireless charge or snap on a wallet accessory.
  • Google Pixel 10 series: Google's flagship phones from 2025 (excluding the 10a) include PixelSnap, which is Qi2-certified and has magnets ready to use any accessory that requires it (including MagSafe).
  • Samsung and other Android phones: You'll have to buy a case with magnets in it or buy magnetic stickers for any accessories you want to stick on the back of your phone magnetically.
