Apple has announced the arrival of the iPhone 16e, a new addition to the iPhone 16 lineup. iPhone 16e, you can get your hands on the new phone ASAP.
Standing out with both updated features and a much lower price point, Apple has shared that the iPhone 16e will have better battery life, fast performance with the latest-generation A18 chip, and Apple Intelligence.
"We're so excited for iPhone 16e to complete the lineup as a powerful, more affordable option to bring the iPhone experience to even more people," said Kaiann Drance, Apple's Vice President of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing.
New features
The iPhone 16e will have an improved camera system, with a 48MP fusion camera that takes great photos and videos. The upgraded camera includes 2x Telephoto, so the zoom feature can retain top optical quality.

The 16e will also help keep users connected when they need it most, with satellite features that enable Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messages, and Find My. So, when you have no cellular or Wi-Fi coverage, you can still rely on your iPhone 16e to seek safety.
The iPhone 16e is also splash, water, and dust resistant, with an IP68 rating and a Ceramic Shield front cover that'll help avoid accidents and cracks.
According to Apple, it also has the 'best battery life ever on a 6.1-inch iPhone', lasting up to 6 hours longer than previous models.
Apple Intelligence
Apple Intelligence is Apple's AI integration system, which now hosts a range of new features to make your iPhone even smarter.
Apple has integrated ChatGPT into Writing Tools and Siri, with the AI chatbot now available without the hassle of switching between applications. The integration is optional, so you can choose when you use it, and what information you want shared with ChatGPT.
Their AI features also stretch into photography, with the Clean Up tool allowing you to quickly erase parts of images that aren't wanted, like strangers who may wander into the background of your shot. Siri is now also a more conversational tool and can answer any of your questions about the features of Apple products, giving you access to learn how best to use your iPhone.

Price and availability
The 128GB version of the iPhone 16e can be bought for as little as $999. The 256GB will cost $1199, while the 512GB is $1549.
Available in both a black and white matte finish, you can brighten it up with a case of your choosing.
You can pre-order the iPhone 16e from Saturday, February 22, and it's available to purchase from Friday, February 28.
