Amazon expands into fresh food: what it means for your weekly shop

If you can't find the time to head to the shops to do your grocery shopping, Amazon and Harris Farm Markets have a solution that will take one thing off your list for the week.

You can now access Harris Farm Markets' online store via Harris Farm Markets and have your meat, fruit and veg delivered to your doorstep, just like you would your noise-cancelling headphones.

So, what can you actually order online?

The short answer: everything you'd expect.

Fruit and vegetables from local farmers and producers, including their Imperfect Picks, plus meat and baked goods. Even their specialty items are up for purchase, so that's a yes to flowers, pre-prepared meals, desserts and juices.

Much like browsing Amazon, you can scroll through the products, add them to your cart and pay as you would when shopping on Amazon.

Currently, the service is available in suburbs across Sydney, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast. The service can be accessed online at Amazon.com.au or through the Amazon app.

You'll need to check your eligibility by entering your postcode online at the service's storefront.

How much does delivery cost?

Amazon has kept the pricing relatively simple with no hidden fees.

• Flat delivery fee: $15
• Minimum order: $50
• Amazon Prime members get free deliveries on orders over $100
• Non-Prime members get free delivery on orders over $200
