Everything to know about De'Longhi's entry-level Magnifica range

So, you've decided it's time to stop spending money on coffee. Good on you, you're miles ahead of me and my stupid crush on my local barista. Unless you're dedicated to that slightly sad sachet life, or giving up caffeine forever (as if!), you're probably preparing to drop some money on a coffee machine.
De'Longhi is one of the most popular brands for coffee makers, with a huge range of prices and options available. They do capsule machines through to those huge ones that make cold-brew coffee, but their bean-to-cup coffee makers are among their most popular.
Their Magnifica range has three potential suitors that are 'entry-level' options for those buying their first machine.
What's good about the Magnifica range?
The three Magnifica machines are bean-to-cup coffee makers, meaning their process starts with the beans you choose and ends with a cup of coffee. All the grinding and measuring occurs within the machine. While the fussiest coffee snob probably wouldn't like this, it's the best option for those who want a proper, cafe-style coffee made from actual beans rather than a pod. This kind of coffee machine is the one that will save you big bucks – especially if you live in a big Australian city where the price of coffee is stupidly high.
So, let's meet them.

De'Longhi Magnifica Start
9Product Reviews
Price: $649 (was $699)
The 'baby' of the bunch, this coffee machine has a one-touch process. After you feed your beans into it, you can choose between four coffee options – espresso, doppio+, coffee, and long black.
The steaming wand is there to froth the milk, which takes a little more effort than an actual milk-frother. While this can be a bit frustrating, it's an easy skill to master once you've done it a couple of times. However, you can spend an extra $100 to get a machine with a frother included.
The machine has removable dishwasher-safe parts, which make it easy to clean and maintain. The Magnifica Start has a lot to recommend it, and is a great entry-level coffee machine for those who are ready to invest.
De'Longhi Magnifica Evo
9Product Reviews
Price: $744 (was $1299)
Another intuitive machine, the Magnifica Evo has five one-touch recipes: espresso, doppio+, coffee, long black, and steam, which can help produce hot water for making tea or other beverages.
It also has 13 adjustable grind settings, which is perfect for more experienced coffee drinkers, and consistent dosing and tamping for extraction.
The Magnifica Evo was also the Winner of the 2022 Red Dot Design Award, which is awarded based on product design, brands and communication design, and design concept – so you can trust it's a great purchase.
De'Longhi Magnifica Evo Titan
9Product Reviews
Price: $902
The 'big kahuna' of the bunch, the Evo Titan has a little bit more.
With more one-touch options, you can choose from espresso, coffee, long black, and hot water, and two other buttons designed for milk frothing. The Titan has a milk carafe rather than a steaming wand, meaning the milk can be frothed for you. The 'MyLatte' button will froth the exact amount of milk required for your favourite drink, so there's no waste left behind. The necessary amount of milk for different coffees is also labelled on the side of the carafe.
What do people think of the Magnifica range?
