9Product Reviews/Nespresso
Nespresso and coffee are interlinked – you can't think of one without picturing the other.
The brand has created a range of excellent 'instant coffee' machines, delivering daily brews via small pods that contain shots of coffee. Not only are these super-convenient, they taste great, often rivalling in price the $6.50 small oat cappuccino you'll buy on your way to work.
Most of their machines also contain inbuilt milk frothers, too, so you don't have to worry about using the microwave to get the ideal flat white.
However, how do you know which machine is right for you?
Across price, size, and capabilities, we're certain at least one of these machines will suit your coffee-drinking checklist.

Nespresso Creatista Pro
9Product Reviews
Recommended for: Proud coffee snobs who love nothing more than to get hands-on with their coffee
Price: $979.30 (was $1399)
Size: W19.7cm x D42.9cm x H32.8cm
Milk frother? You get a jug for milk frothing and a built-in steam wand, to create automatically frothed milk in moments. Just position the jug beneath the wand and press 'start'; the machine will detect the temperature of the milk and adjust the steam accordingly. It also self-cleans after each use.
The best features:
The LCD screen on the Nespresso Creatista Pro makes it a cut above – you can scroll through your coffee options and choose what you feel like on the day. You can also create and save your own recipes as you like.
Instead of frothing electronically, the Creatista Pro has a built-in automatic steam wand, which delivers barista-style milk that can be made into latte art. The system, which was co-developed with Breville Australia, delivers the perfect froth every time. The Creatista Pro can also engage in this frothing process and brew your coffee simultaneously, which is a first for Nespresso.

Milk frother? Yes! This version of the CitiZ comes with a built-in milk frother called the Aeroccino3. It can hold up to 240mL for hot milk preparation, and 120mL for frothing the milk. This is enough for two cappuccinos.

With just two buttons to control the flow of coffee, you can choose between a single shot (espresso, 40mL) and a double shot (lungo, 110mL), both of which make up a range of different coffees. It also has a removable water tank that's easy to refill, as well as a removable tray for your used pods.

Milk frother? Yes! The Lattissima One features an inbuilt smart milk jug that senses the amount of milk you need and froths it accordingly.
The best features:
Taking just 18 seconds to heat up, your coffee will be ready to go in mere moments with the Lattissima One. It makes a range of traditional espresso-based coffees, and can automatically add your frothed milk for drinks like cappuccinos or latte macchiatos.
It features two buttons for espresso or lungo delivery, plus a coffee and milk button that automatically adds your milk from the smart milk jug. The jug has a 160mL capacity, but clearly indicates the amount required for frothing. It's also dishwasher safe.
The biggest difference between this one and the CitiZ is the automatic addition of frothed milk and the size of the milk jug.
