Go-To's new primer promises glowy skin - does it deliver?

A good primer is something that's often neglected in my makeup routine, particularly if I'm going for a time-pressed, minimalist weekday look. I know, I know, it's arguably the most important step in the layering process.
Fortunately, just in time for me to get a grip (pun intended) ahead of warmer (sweatier) days, cult Australian skincare brand has just launched two new products: and .
As someone who likes a dewy, radiant look, I opted to test out the Very Glowy Primer. To scope out the true benefits of the product, I wore the same makeup for two days in the office – using the primer the first day and not the second.

The makeup line up. 9 Product Reviews
What was I looking to remedy?
My issue with wearing makeup all day is that my skin starts to feel a bit oily. The makeup comes off easily if I dab my face with a tissue, and sometimes it will bunch up on my neckline, leaving a noticeable fake tan-esque streak. It's a really good look.
I wanted the primer to give me a lasting glow from the beginning of my commute to the time I got home in the evening, and ensure my makeup stuck to my face.
What's the consensus?
To see how my face looked throughout the day, I took one photo as I left the house (8am), one at lunch, and then one when I returned home (5pm).
Day one with the primer. 9 Product Reviews
OK, so the sun played a part in this, but wow – the glow! I felt fresh to death strolling up to the bus stop. What a way to seize the day with maximum confidence.
By lunchtime, my skin looked practically the same. It had a nice radiance without looking greasy or oily. I had also noticed that when dabbing my face with a tissue that very little product came off. Talk about staying put. There was also no creasing around my neck!
By the time I got home, a little oiliness was starting to break through, but that's a strong nine-hour shift.
Day two without the primer. 9 Product Reviews
The look at the beginning of day two, no primer, was off to a strong start, but there's an obvious lack of glow already. Come lunchtime, it's clear that my coverage is nowhere near as good – you can see the redness! I can't even blame it on the lighting since both photos were taken in the same bathroom spot.
By the time I'd returned home, my skin looked more dull, less polished, and I'd even had a few breakouts.
So, yes, I can safely say that now I will ensure to add this primer to my makeup routine. Grippy, dewy and fabulous.
